Whether you see Mickey judging a 4H project, hiking a new trail, canoeing down another cold river, consulting with the novice gardener about the sick tree in their yard or setting up the vendors at the Union County Farmer’s Market, you can count on seeing him with that million dollar smile.

An undergraduate degree from UGA and a Masters from Clemson University in Agriculture Education, Mickey has been the quintessential Ag expert for Union County for over 20 years.

In 2010 he was recruited to be the Manager of the Union County Farmers Market.

Mickey has a special place in his heart for the local food and produce folks. The idea for the Farmer’s Market was brought to the Commissioner’s Office by Mr. Cummings several years ago. He has also been instrumental in honoring those who have made a mark on Agriculture in this County by instituting the Union County Agricultural Hall Of Fame, with the cooperation of the Union County Historical Society.
